Jeremy Jay Krueger

Jeremy Jay Krueger, 51 of Independence, IA died Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Jeremy was born on April 6, 1971, in West Union, Iowa to Larry and Karen (Osmundson) Krueger. He went to school in West Union until his senior year in high school and then moved to Independence, IA where he graduated in 1989 from Jefferson High School. Jeremy then attended Kirkwood Community College and Iowa State University graduating with a Degree in Agricultural Studies.

Jeremy married Nicole (Briggman) Amerson in 1998, and together they had two daughters; Cora Krueger of North Liberty, IA and Grace Krueger of Cedar Falls, IA.

Jeremy had a love of the outdoors and farming from an early age. He hunted and worked on the farm as soon as he was allowed, eventually running his own farming operation for many years. He was most recently employed at Pries Enterprises Inc. in Independence, IA.

He is survived by his daughters Cora and Grace Krueger. His mother and step-father Nyal and Karen Dage of Brandon; a sister; Jennifer (Jeff) Johnson, Ankeny, IA.; brother Jason (Krista) Krueger, Brandon, IA.

Step-siblings Amy (Dave) Cooper, Cedar Rapids, IA; Bret Dage, Brandon; and Tara (Dave) Mohlis of Brandon, IA. He had eight nieces and nephews, Izak and Cole Krueger, and Kyle, Reilly, Derek, and Ryan Johnson.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Larry L Krueger of Elgin, Iowa, and his grandparents Loren and Lavonne Osmundson, Lyle and Helen Krueger, and Lloyd and Ruth Dage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Independence, IA with Rev. Paul Evans, officiating. Private interment services will be held at a later date. The family will host a visitation at Reiff Family Center-Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, 3:00-7:00pm in Independence and from 9:00 am until services Tuesday at the church.
