Beatrice Flynn Obituary

Beatrice Flynn, 93, of Winterville GA passed away on August 26th after a short illness.

Bea was born in New Hampton, NH to Wilbur and Florence Stevens. She lived most of her days in Lancaster NH, where she raised five children with John Rolfe. She later married Arnold, (Jim) Flynn and cared for him until he passed.

Beatrice was a stay-at-home mom, a Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and a volunteer at the food bank at the Methodist Church. Bea loved to garden, read books, and work on the genealogy of her Mayflower ancestors.

Bea loved flowers and had flower gardens and house plants everywhere she was. She liked to say that she had a green thumb that was passed to her children and granddaughter Sarah.

Bea loved to go to “the farm” in New Hampton where she grew up. She enjoyed visiting family and making memories. She told stories of the one room schoolhouse she went to and of daily life of living on a farm with her parents. Her cousins were her best friends. Until the end of her life, Bea had a very close bond with her extended family.

Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Arnold (Jim) Flynn. She is survived by her children: Bruce Rolfe of Island Pond, VT, Barry Rolfe of New Hampton, NH, Cynthia Foltz and her husband Greg of Mechanicsville, MD, Dale Rolfe and his wife Simone of Burke, VA, Debra Rolfe and her husband Howard of Winterville, GA.
