Clara R. McGee, 71, longtime resident of Decatur, Illinois departed this life on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital   Clara was born on September 29, 1945 in Ripley, TN the daughter of J.B. and Willie L.  (Estes) Caldwell.  She was a graduate of Lauderdale High School, Ripley, TN.   She later moved to Decatur, Illinois and became employed with Decatur Memorial Hospital where she worked for 50 years.  She received many awards and certificates throughout her life journey.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Greater Northside Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved flowers and especially loved to work in her flower garden.  In her spare time she also liked to fish.     Clara leaves not to mourn but to cherish her loving memories:  her son, Steve J. McGee, former spouse, Joe McGee; sister-in-law, Georgia Caldwell, sister; Zenia Louise Caldwell,nieces; Deborah Harper, Toni Caldwell, Marilyn Wheeler, Denise Harper, nephews; Maurice Caldwell, James Wheeler, Frank Harper an a host of cousins, relatives and a multitude of friends.   She preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Willie L. Caldwell, brothers: Joe T. Caldwell and Jimmie C. Caldwell.
