Lettell "Buzz" Fontenot
<p>MAMOU – A Graveside Service will be held for Lettell J. “Buzz” Fontenot at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022. </p><p>Lettell J. “Buzz” Fontenot, 78, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. “Buzz” was born on June 15, 1944, in Mamou, LA to Lettell and Regina Miller Fontenot. He owned and operated Kajun Floor Covering. He was a longtime member of the Mamou Fire Department serving as chief at one time. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His family meant the world to him. He enjoyed spending time in his shop doing woodwork. “Buzz” will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. </p><p>He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Broussard and husband, Mitchell of Ville Platte and Naomi Renee Persicke and husband, Byron of Spokane, WA; four grandchildren, Dustin Fontenot, Jordan Fontenot and wife, Shawna, Alexis Persicke, and Ethan Persicke; three great grandchildren, Jackson Fontenot, Carson Fontenot, and Ellison Fontenot; brother, Larry Wayne Fontenot and wife, Joyce; and sister-in-law, Mary Nell Fontenot. </p><p>He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Fontenot; parents, Lettell Paul Fontenot and Regina Miller Fontenot; son, Mitchell Paul Fontenot; and brother, John Fontenot. </p><p>Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
