Lettell "Buzz" Fontenot

<p>MAMOU – A Graveside Service will be held for Lettell J. “Buzz” Fontenot at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022.&nbsp; </p><p>Lettell J. “Buzz” Fontenot, 78, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.&nbsp; “Buzz” was born on June 15, 1944, in Mamou, LA to Lettell and Regina Miller Fontenot.&nbsp; He owned and operated Kajun Floor Covering.&nbsp; He was a longtime member of the Mamou Fire Department serving as chief at one time.&nbsp; He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.&nbsp; His family meant the world to him.&nbsp; He enjoyed spending time in his shop doing woodwork. “Buzz” will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. </p><p>He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Broussard and husband, Mitchell of Ville Platte and Naomi Renee Persicke and husband, Byron of Spokane, WA; four grandchildren, Dustin Fontenot, Jordan Fontenot and wife, Shawna, Alexis Persicke, and Ethan Persicke; three great grandchildren, Jackson Fontenot, Carson Fontenot, and Ellison Fontenot; brother, Larry Wayne Fontenot and wife, Joyce; and sister-in-law, Mary Nell Fontenot. </p><p>He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Fontenot; parents, Lettell Paul Fontenot and Regina Miller Fontenot; son, Mitchell Paul Fontenot; and brother, John Fontenot. </p><p>Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.&nbsp; A rosary will be led by Deacon Chuck Ortego on Saturday at 1:00PM.&nbsp; </p><p>Family and friends may leave condolences for the family at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com. </p><p>Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou is in charge of arrangements. </p>

Mr. Buzz was a long-time customer of our family's auction in Reddell. I have fond memories of our conversations about his collections. He was always so nice and friendly towards our whole team. My condolences and prayers go out to your whole family.
