Wendy S. Homlish, beloved Mother, Grandmother to 7, and Wife, passed away on August 27, 2022 at L.V. Hospice in Allentown under the care of an angelic staff.

She is survived by her husband James (37 years), son Jason (35), Sara Kuhn (42), stepson William, sister Lise Smolak (Weingartner) and brother Andy Weingartner. Her grandchildren are Zachary Homlish, Andrew Homlish, Heather Kuhn, Amanda Welsh, Emma Kitchin, Rileigh Kitchin, and Eden Kuhn.

Wendy was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on Oct 10 1954. She attended Stroudsburg H.S. where she graduated at 16 years of age. She continued on to East Stroudsburg College, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Speech Pathology and went on to obtain a Master Degree at Bloomsburg University.

She worked as a Speech Pathologist for IU21, including Mercy Special Learning Center. After many years as a Speech Therapist, she then became an Assistive Technology Consultant for IU21. Retiring after 37 years of dedicated service.

She was a lovely, non-judgmental, very intelligent woman who loved children and was beloved by family, friends and acquaintances alike.

She will be buried in St.Paul’s (Blue Church) cemetery in Coopersburg, PA by a private ceremony. Some of her ashes will be deposited at a private location in Acadia, Maine.

Oh Lord, she will be missed by so many. The world and family has lost a beautiful and humorous soul. She was dedicated to service to teachers and her special needs students. Her hobbies were travel and Jeopardy (where she knew most of the questions to the answers).

A celebration for Wendy will be held from 1-3pm on October 9, 2022 at Camp Olympic Park at The Barn, 3120 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Emmaus PA 18049, Please dress in fall colors for it was Wendy's favorite season!

To all who knew her, Wendy was a wonderful woman who just wanted to please everyone.
