WEISS</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Joe Weiss, age 82 of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, August 28, 2022, surrounded by family.&nbsp; He was born Joseph E. Weiss on October 3, 1939, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of two children of Milton and Ruth (Droplic) Weiss.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">He graduated from Clairton High School in 1957, served in the Army and Army Reserves. Joe began and ended a&nbsp;career with Weiss Bros. Meats, Inc that expanded his entire lifetime.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Joe was a member of the Pleasant Hills Rotary Club since 1978 and served as their President 3 different times. He served local Rotary District # 7300 as an Assistant District Governor and received recognition from Rotary International as an 8 time Paul Harris Fellow and a Benefactor. Joe was also a brother of the Masons and Shriners, and he had the honor of being the Grand Marshal for Pleasant Hills Community Day.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">In addition to his parents, he&nbsp;was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Hemminger) Weiss, son, Eric Weiss, brother Elliott Weiss and brother-in-law, Gary Hemminger.&nbsp; Joe is survived by his daughter Cindy (Robert) Weiss of South Park, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Mallory, Noah, Dylan, Robyn, Sarah and Jordan Weiss; sister&rsquo;s-in-law, Joann Weiss and Birdie Hemminger; and Rotary friend, Sue Kelly. &nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Family and Friends will be received in the Stephen D. JOSEPH E. WEISS

 

Joe Weiss, age 82 of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, August 28, 2022, surrounded by family.  He was born Joseph E. Weiss on October 3, 1939, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of two children of Milton and Ruth (Droplic) Weiss.

 

He graduated from Clairton High School in 1957, served in the Army and Army Reserves. Joe began and ended a career with Weiss Bros. Meats, Inc that expanded his entire lifetime.

 

Joe was a member of the Pleasant Hills Rotary Club since 1978 and served as their President 3 different times. He served local Rotary District # 7300 as an Assistant District Governor and received recognition from Rotary International as an 8 time Paul Harris Fellow and a Benefactor. Joe was also a brother of the Masons and Shriners, and he had the honor of being the Grand Marshal for Pleasant Hills Community Day.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Hemminger) Weiss, son, Eric Weiss, brother Elliott Weiss and brother-in-law, Gary Hemminger.  Joe is survived by his daughter Cindy (Robert) Weiss of South Park, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Mallory, Noah, Dylan, Robyn, Sarah and Jordan Weiss; sister’s-in-law, Joann Weiss and Birdie Hemminger; and Rotary friend, Sue Kelly.  

 

Family and Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Tuesday, August, 30, 2022, from 10 am – 1 pm and his funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1 pm.  Joe will be buried in Gemilas Chesed Cemetery in White Oak, Pennsylvania, next to his wife, Judy, with a graveside service immediately following the service in the funeral home.
