<p>Clara Jean Ballinger, age 88, of Neoga, IL. and formerly of Toledo, IL passed away on August 26, 2022, at 3:58 pm at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.</p> <p>Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday September 1, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery rural Neoga, IL.</p> <p>Jean was born on February 26, 1934, in Cumberland County to Oliver and Minnie (Evans) Bolin. Jean married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life Richard Ballinger on May 24, 1953, Richard passed away on December 2, 2013.</p> <p>Jean is survived by a daughter Julie (Tom) Shuemaker of Toledo, IL; two granddaughters</p> <p>Cassie (Adam) Flack&nbsp;of Mattoon and Jessie Shuemaker of Charleston; one great granddaughter Layla Flack; one brother Max Bolin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Virgil Bolin.</p> <p>She graduated from Cumberland High School in 1951, Jean was a homemaker and helped her husband in his hog operation.
