Roberta Tatler Rainwater, born April 7, 1954, passed into eternity on August 24, 2022.
Roberta was last a Marketing Assistant at Rock Hill Library and was previously a
teacher and artist. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, William and Susan
(Averso) Tatler.
Roberta had many passions but none as important to her as her service for the Lord.
She was very involved with her church, The Church Without Walls, in Gastonia, NC,
where she served many families and friends. She always added a creative artistic flair
to all parts of her ministries.
Roberta leaves behind many beloved family members and friends: her heart sister
Tammy Oliver and niece Caaryn (Chris) Ramsey and nephew Nate Oliver (Ashley),
grandniece Amelia and grandnephew Isaac. She also was loved immensely by her
daughters Pam (Robert) Baker and Patricia Rainwater; her sons Mark (Christie)
Rainwater, and Bruce Rainwater; especially loved by her grandchildren Courtnay (Evan)
Friedrichs, Caleb, Isabelle, Isaiah, Cyrus, James, Naomi, Abigail, and Tobias Baker;
Victoria Bowers; Caleb Loverde; Daniel, Hailey, and Zachary Rainwater; and four great
grandchildren Amaryah, Nova, and Eleanor Friedrichs and Brixton Berezein.
Celebration of Roberta’s life will be held on September 3 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church
Without Walls, 2502 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia, NC. Roberta requested that
everyone wear bright colors to the celebration!
