Joseph Mark Wotruba

Joseph (Joe) M Wotruba, 65, Maribel, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at St Luke’s Aurora Hospital in Milwaukee after a short illness. Joe was born on August 24, 1956 in Manitowoc, WI to Lawrence & Arlene (Hynek) Wotruba. On November 9, 1990 he married the love of his life Lori Leiterman and they shared 31 amazing years together. For the past 42 years he was a John Deere Lawn & Garden Salesman for Eis Implement in Two Rivers WI. He had many amazing customers who he looked forward to talking with. Joe was a devoted husband, dad and grandpa. He loved spending time at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Door County where he camped the last 27 years and made some amazing friends. He also loved spending time fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time with his grandkids who were the light of his life. In his younger days he spent most of his time on the baseball field where he was an avid pitcher. Joe will be deeply missed by his wife, Lori; Daughter, Brittney (Kyle) VandeHey of DePere and Step-son, Justin (Brenda) Loritz of Whitelaw and their children Madelyn, Blake and Cora. Brothers, Larry (Donna) Wotruba, Randy (RaeAnn) Wotruba, both of Maribel. His sisters, Julie (Dan) Pantzlaff and Laurie Jean (Scott) Simons, both of Denmark. His in-laws, Donald & Dorothy Leiterman of Denmark; and Sister-In-Law, Lisa (Jim) Chapman of Green Bay. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families whom he was very proud of. Joe was proceeded in death by his parents Lawrence & Arlene Wotruba. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care, 536 County Rd R, Denmark. The visitation will end with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue Monday, August 29, from 10:00am – 10:45am at St. James Cooperstown, 18228 CTH R, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, with Father Santiago Turiano officiating. Burial will follow mass at the St. James Cemetery. The family would like to thank the ICU Team & Nurses of St Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee who tried so hard to save his life. Also, a huge thank you to our family & friends who were there for us during this tragic time. We appreciate all of the phone calls, texts and kind words. We love you all.
