Madeline Tamburo

Madeline “Midge” Tamburo, 85, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on August 9 at St. Ann’s Peace Care in Jersey City, NJ. Midge was a resident of Lodi, NJ into her adult years before being swept away to San Francisco, CA. She later returned to NJ where she lived out her remaining years. In the weeks and days leading up to her passing, Madeline was visited and comforted by her daughters and grandchildren. Madeline is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Peter Salvado, and her son, Peter A. Maiorano. Madeline, beloved mother and grandmother, is survived by her three daughters, Toni Maiorano-Logan (Ron), Mari Tamburo (Arne Frager), and Lisa Tamburo (Joe Averso); her grandchildren Jason Godlewski, Lisa Lancellotti (Jeremy), and Tara Saksa (Chris). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, her three sisters (Alice Avola, Josephine Gregory, and Patti Pinto), and many nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Midge, as she was known to family and friends, had an enthusiastic passion for life, loved to travel, and spend time enjoying nature. She was also a stylish dresser, art & music enthusiast, and a great dancer! There are so many amazing memories that will live on in minds and hearts of family and friends. A mass will be held at 9:30 AM on September 17, 2022, at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 125 Union Street, Lodi, NJ 07644. The burial will take place immediately following the mass in the cemetery behind the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, your local Humane Society, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
