“Dad… a son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.”<br>It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Eric Maher announce his sudden passing on August 13th, 2022 at the age of 72 years.<br><br>Eric leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Jason, daughter Renee (Craig), son Kenny (Danielle), partner Brenda and her son Tyler.<br>Grandchildren Kesten, Kyren, Keagan and Kasey.<br>Siblings Leo (Delores), Martha (Phillip), Margie (Angus) and Cyril, brothers-in-law Manuel and John, as well a large circle of nieces, nephews and good friends.<br><br>He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret, infant brother Johnny, sisters Bride and Kay.<br><br>Eric was an avid fisherman who loved the water and the outdoors. He dearly loved spending time with his family, socializing with friends and striking up a conversation with everyone he passed. Eric was never stuck for a story and never seen without a grin.<br><br>Visitation will take place on Thursday August 18th, 2022 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Oram’s Funeral Home in Glovertown, NL<br>Service to follow on Friday August 19th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Scared Heart in Cull’s Harbour, NL.<br><br>Arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home Glovertown.<br>
