Dennis Joseph O'Neill

Dennis Joseph O’Neill, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Lavallette, NJ, on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Newark, NJ, where he resided in the Ironbound Section until settling in Lavallette, NJ. Dennis was a Truck Driver for Emery Air Freight of Newark, NJ for 48 years, retiring in July of 2010. He was a member Teamster Local 478 of Union, NJ. Dennis proudly served in the United States Army, Armed Forces Rank SP4 and was Honorably Discharged on April 13, 1967. Beloved husband of 53 years of Gloria (nee Stiuso) O’Neill; devoted and loving father of Dennis O’Neill and his wife Christina, and Denise Lunetta and her husband Ernie; cherished grandfather of Joseph, Casey, Keira and Nicolette. The Funeral for Dennis will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 8:30 am at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave., Newark, NJ 07105. Thence to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Newark, where at 9:30 am the Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. The wake for will be held on Friday, August 19th from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation, www.parkinson.org, would be graciously appreciated.
