Robert Elmer Webster Obituary

Loving husband, father and grandfather Robert Elmer Webster, 82, of Ryderwood, Wash., passed away Aug. 11, 2022, at the Canterbury Inn in Longview.

Robert was born Oct. 13, 1939, in Aberdeen S.D., to Leonard and Irene (Stevens) Webster. He graduated from Snohomish High School in 1959, served three years in the Army earning the rank of sergeant, and retired as a machinist from Boeing in 2000.

Family always came first for Robert. In 1978 he married Carol Goshorn in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and loved dancing with her for the next 44 years. Robert enjoyed watching his sons’ ballgames, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and making scroll saw art.

He is survived by Carol at home; three children, Cass Jensen of Marysville, Wash., Mike Goshorn of Hayden Lake, Idaho and Lyle Goshorn of Tulalip, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by a son, Len Webster; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Goshorn.

A celebration of Robert’s life is planned for 2 p.m. Oct. 8, 2022, at Ryderwood Community Church, 315 Jackson St., Ryderwood, WA 98581. Pastor Chuck Kennedy will officiate.
