Connie Jo Edwards

Connie Jo Edwards, 68, of Millsboro passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Connie was born in Lewes, DE to the late Carlton and Josephine (Rogers) Reed. She retired from the University of Delaware as an administrative assistant for over 30 years and had previously worked for Beebe Hospital. She loved attending Eagle’s Nest Church and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed ceramics, flowers, and retail therapy. She is survived by her husband, Donald Edwards; children, Jodie Edwards-Taylor (Aaron), Jill Edwards (Elwood Hitchens), and Donnie Edwards (Tina Cook); sister, Cathy Collier (John); brother, Martin Reed; grandchildren, Ciera Edwards, Evan Hitchens, Haley Hitchens, and Emma Edwards; and great-grandson, Isaac Oakland. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 am in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968, where friends may call after 10 am.
