Willa D. Young

Willa Dean Young was born on August 14,1945 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to<br>Sherman and Katy Burton. She was one of five children. She was raised in<br>Thornton, California by her grandparents. Willa attended Galt High School.<br>During the 1970s, Willa became an avid tournament bowler and traveled<br>throughout California to compete. Her best single-game score was 263.<br>Over the years, she worked as a beautician and a certified nurse's aide.<br>Although Willa enjoyed all genres of music, Elvis Presley and Merle<br>Haggard were at the top of her list. Willa passed away during the early<br>morning hours of her 77th birthday, August 14, 2022. She is survived by her<br>son Troy Conner, her daughter Dana Kimmel (Ken), grandsons Rich,<br>Randy, and Robby Kimmel, grandson Doug Conner, granddaughter Amelia<br>Conner, five great grandchildren, her sister Mary Lou (Bev) Burton, and<br>nieces Avonne Pfeifer (Mark), Lisa Worland (Clint), and Rachael Pacheco<br>(Frank). Visitation will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Saturday, August<br>20 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend a<br>graveside service at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery, 5750 East Pine<br>Street at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2022.
