Jane Bailey Brown Obituary

R. Jane Bailey Brown, 86, Kokomo, passed away at 4:30 am Saturday, August 13, 2022, in her home.  She was born February 27, 1936, in Galveston, IN, the daughter of the late Harry & Irene (Ronk) Hosier.  She was married on April 22, 1988 to Jack L. Bailey and he preceded her in death September 28, 2007.  On October 21, 2012, she married Robert “Bob” L. Brown and he survives.

Jane attended Galveston High School with her class of 1954.  She retired from Delco Electronics in 1993 after 30 years of service.  She was a member of UAW Local #292, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Optimist Club in Marshall Illinois.  Jane enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, bowling and golfing.  She also enjoyed fishing in Florida with her late husband Jack and in recent years enjoyed fishing with Bob and her family. 

Jane is survived by her husband, Bob Brown; children, Debbie (Howard) Rothman, Teresa Kiser and Mark Miller; step-children, Cathie Moore, Cheryl Richmond and Bobby Brown; grandchildren, Terry Miller, Jason (Krystal) Walker, Zach Walker, Misty (Francisco) Corrales, Mariah (Tylor) Driver and Heather Kiser (Chris Burney); 14 great-grandchildren, all who were the love of her life, 8 step-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, twin sister, Jean (Bob) Wilkin, sisters, Linda Carden and Connie (Bob) Robey, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; previous husband, Jack Bailey; father of her children, Bill Miller; granddaughter, Chastity Miller; great-grandchildren, Faith Corrales and Camilla Driver; siblings, Barbara Gearheart, Donna Baxter, Carolyn Kratzer, Marjorie Timmons, Charles Hosier, Harry Hosier Jr., Donnie Hosier, Ronnie Hosier and Paul Hosier.

Funeral service will be held at Noon Friday, August 19, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Mike Ennis officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church Building Fund.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
