Alex Kavalow, 37, of Browndale, died unexpectedly on Friday evening at home. His wife is Abby Leannah Kavalow. They would have been married five years this September 29th.

Born November 2, 1984, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Mark and Dorothy Macarski Kavalow. Alex graduated from Mid Valley High School and was employed by Best Buy, Dickson City. He was a veteran of the Army Reserves and a member of Cornerstone Bible Church. Alex enjoyed online gaming, cribbage, puzzles and tinkering in the stock market. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and liked fantasy football. Most of all he enjoyed playing with his children.

He is survived by a thirteen-year-old daughter Emma and a two-year-old son Wyatt; a brother Jared Kavalow and wife Lindsey, Olyphant and a sister Rebecca Snyder and husband Nicholas, Throop; and a niece Lucy.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 6:45pm in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, by Pastor Tim Madden. Viewing will be Wednesday from 4pm until service time.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in his name at PNC Bank.
