Mr. Densil ‘Bud’ King McInnis of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away at the Bethany Care Centre, Sylvan Lake, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Bud was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on February 24, 1938. He was one of five children and raised mostly by his grandmother. Bud met Stella Marie Thompson and they were married at Saint Jean, Quebec in 1965, they were married for fifty-four years until Stella’s passing on December 16, 2019. Bud and Stella raised two sons together, Craig and Michael. While living in Saint John, New Brunswick, Bud worked as a High School Physical Education, Biology, and Mathematics Teacher; he would always go the extra step for his students. Bud also held rank as one of Canada’s top sports officials. He took part in many sports events all across Canada, mostly officiating over track and field events right up until his recent years. Bud and Stella moved to Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 2000, where it didn’t take long to get in the swing of things and resume one of his favorite pastimes, golfing. Bud will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Mike and Craig, his two granddaughters, Cassidy and Kiera, his brother, Sterling, as well as many friends and extended family. Bud and Stella are now reunited in peace and will always be remembered. He was also predeceased by his two sisters, Norma and Gloria and a brother, Hiliard. The family would like to thank the staff from the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre and the Sylvan Lake Bethany Care Centre for all of the wonderful care that Bud received during his time at each facility. In keeping with Bud’s wishes, a Funeral Service will not be held. If desired, Memorial Donations may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
