Roy J. Potts, Sr., 75, of Midvale and formerly of Dover died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 in his home following a brief illness. Born March 8, 1947 in Strasburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jake Earlene and Esther (Tice) Potts. Roy was a truck driver for many years and previously worked for A.J. Weigand Inc. Roy proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the D.A.V. He will be sadly missed by his family including his wife, Lois (Tylke) Potts. They were married on July 21, 1989; two sons, Roy (Malinda) Potts Jr. and Jake Aaron Potts both of Midvale. He was preceded in death by three daughters, Lisa Marie Potts, Wendy Sue Potts and Sara Conway. At Roy’s request, cremation will take place and inurnment will be held at a later date in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
