Elizabeth "Kay" Yeager Mooresville, Indiana Obituary

Elizabeth "Kay" Yeager

Elizabeth “Kay” Yeager 78, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 11, 2022. Kay was born in Indianapolis to the late Chas and Kathleen McMurtry on November 17, 1943. Kay was married to her soulmate, Merlyn for 16 years. It was rare that you would see them apart and many were envious of the love they shared for one another. Kay loved nothing more than hosting the “holiday’s” at their home. She always went “all out” and loved spending this time with her children and grandchildren. Kay had an impressive collection of “Fairies”. She enjoyed traveling with Merlyn and especially enjoyed their visits to Anna Maria Island, Florida. She loved to dance and had an adventurous soul! Kay is survived by her loving husband of 16 years; Merlyn Yeager, children; Darcy (Barton) Hume and DeeAnn Gary, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; William (Gayla) McMurtry. Kay is preceded in death by her son; Charles “Tony” Crockett, daughter; Dana Brown, siblings; Tom McMurtry, Johnny McMurtry, Jayne Hammond, Marthann Greeman and Jeannie McMurtry. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
