LEE<br>Joe, 96 Passed away on Thursday, 08/11/2022 in AccentCare Hospice and Palliative Care, Hollywood, FL. A memorial service will be held at Scarano Funeral Home, 9000 Pines Boulevard Pembroke Pines, FL and online via a shareable livestream link: https://tributebroadcast.com/joe-doo-lee . The date of the service is Tuesday, 08/30/2022 at 2:00 pm. Joe’s body will be cremated according to his wishes. Joe was born in Canton, China on 10/18/1925. He went to high school in Canton but at the age of 16 years old he immigrated to the United States. He arrived in 1940 at Boston, MA to work for his grandfather and attend “night school.” At 18 years old, Joe was drafted into the U.S. Army. Once his term of service was completed, he went back to China to marry Jane Young. Together they returned to the States. They started an entrepreneurial business together in Chicago, Ill. While there, Joe studied and received a certificate in commercial art. He worked at several advertising agencies as a production artist but spent the bulk of his time at Grey North Advertising, Chicago, IL. Joe enjoyed his family and a few sports including volleyball, table tennis and badminton. He was very involved with local churches while being a resident in Illinois and later, Florida as a board treasurer, resident artist and an active participant in many ministries. Joe is survived by his daughter Esther Louie, New York City, NY; his son Jack Lee, New Canaan, CT; and his son Dan Lee, Skokie, IL. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren…Cydney Lee, Elisabeth Louie, David Louie, Alex Lee and Rachel Lee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Lee. We would never forget Mr. J. Doo Lee's gentle smile. He was loving, sincere, and soft spoken. He humbly served the Lord and brothers and sisters in church with diligence and humility.

Ever since we all lived in the Chicago area, Mr. and Mrs. Lee's friendship has meant a lot to the Fong family. We mourn the passing of our dear friend.
