George Vincent Alfaro Obituary

George Vincent Alfaro, 55, of Englewood, Colorado.

George was born October 18th, 1966, in Sacramento, CA and was placed for adoption with a Catholic Church. He was later adopted by Barbara Lyons (Alfaro) and Eugene A Alfaro in March of 1967 when he was 6 months old. He grew up in Colorado most of his life. He had a 2nd father, Harry Lyons. Harry was very influential to George, and he looked up to him. George would often say, Harry was his dad, and Gene was his father. George also has a brother, Eugene M Alfaro. He attended Cherry Creek High School in Centennial, CO. He spent few summers growing up in Germany, spending time with his Father, who retired as a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force.

Anyone who knew George, knew he had an infections and distinct laugh. He was always trying to make people smile. Though he struggled through much of his life, he was a hard worker and loved his friends and family dearly. He had a soft soul. He was a Golf fan, HUGE Broncos fan and loved to cook. He worked as a construction worker, owned a window business, and worked in hotels as a manager. An executive chef at a restaurant in California called the Terrance. He lived in North Carolina with his ex-wife Pam, California shortly after, and most his life in Colorado. Where he grew a tremendous love for the outdoors, fishing and camping. He loved animals and owned many of them through out his life, he especially loved dogs. He was blessed with 3 Children, his oldest, Ashley Alfaro, in August of 1988 with Teri Vanderhoof. His 2nd Daughter, Brianna Alfaro born in December of 1995 and his youngest, a son Austin Alfaro (AJ) born in December of 1996, with Kathy. Though he did not have a close relationship with all his children, that was one of his biggest regrets and things that haunted him, as he loved them all and genuinely wanted to be a good father. He also has 2 granddaughters, from his oldest daughter Ashley, Giavanna born October of 2011 and Peyton born February of 2014.
George also loved motorcycles, drag racing and music. His favorite music was heavy metal, specifically Pantera and Country. He lived a challenging and colorful life, that was certainly cut too soon. He Is survived by his Brother Gene and his wife Elaine, His Daughters Ashley & Brianna, His son Austin, his granddaughters, Giavanna & Peyton, his mother Barbara Lyons, his niece and nephews, Danielle and Zach, and many more.

A memorial service will be held September 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM followed by a reception, both at Drinkwine Family Mortuary. We will continue to celebrate his life with a 2nd memorial at Full House Bar and Grill from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM.

Please wear Bronco gear or colors to George's service as he was a HUGE fan of the Denver Broncos and if he could have it his way, he would be laid to rest at Mile High Stadium. George would want us to celebrate knowing him and celebrate his life.
