Hazel Ratliff Phillips, age 91, of Oneonta, Alabama passed away on August 9, 2022. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Lester Memorial United Methodist Church and worked for many years at The Southern Democrat, Cargile Jewelers, Classic Collection and as a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and took great pride in her family and home. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl Battles Ratliff; sister, Helen Blalock; and her husband, James Houston Phillips. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her son, Danny Phillips (Penny) of Birmingham; daughter Linda Brown (Travis) of Albertville; grandchildren Steve Phillips (Sarah), April Phillips, and Justin Brown (Amanda); and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Lemley Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Lemley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until noon. Graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Oak Hill Cemetery & Mausoleum 999 1st Avenue East. Oneonta, AL 35121. Lemley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
