James Paul "Jimmy" Jones

James Paul “Jimmy” Jones, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, at his home with his family by his side. He was born in New Albany, IN. and was a retired Locomotive Engineer. He always said he worked to live, and never passed an opportunity to be recreating outdoors, boating, water-skiing, scuba diving, snow skiing, exploring and since retirement, migrating with his wife each season to Florida with the sandhill cranes. He worked magic in his wood and metal shop, creating functional works of art to give to his loved ones. He loved go-cart racing, Formula 1/Indy car racing, was the number one handy man for his entire extended family… "When in doubt, Ask Jimmy”, everyone would say. His family was precious to him, and he was there for anyone who needed him. He was preceded in death by his parents: E.E. "Sam" and Violet Jones, and his son-in-law: Andrew Boner. Survivors include his wife of 61 years: Claudine Jones, his daughter: Lennette Jones Boner, his son: Thomas Jones (Heather), his brother: Sam Jones, 3 grandchildren: Jamie Daigle, Zoe Boner Whalen(Brian), and Adrian James Boner, and 3 great-grandchildren: (Annabelle, Abigale, Addison), two sisters-in-law: Debbie Willeford (Hugh), Kathy Reed (David) and wonderful nieces and nephews . His arrangements have been entrusted to the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes. To honor his passion for the ocean and marine life, Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to: http://www.marinesciencecenter.com/support/adopt.stml
