<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Shirley Anne Barrett</span></span></strong></em></p> <p><strong><span lucida="" sans="" style="font-family: " unicode="">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">&nbsp;<span style="font-size:18px;">Shirley passed away at the St. Pierre-Jolys Hospital on July 26, 2022 at the age of 70 years.</span></span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Shirley was born February 10th, 1952 to Earl Murray MacDonald and Eva Marie MacDonald (nee Ogrodnick).&nbsp; She was born and raised in Portage la Prairie.&nbsp; After high school she attended Yonda Business College then worked at the Portage Mutual after completing accounting courses.&nbsp; Shirley then went on to work at the Justice Department in Portage la Prairie then transferred to Winnipeg until her retirement and final move to St. Pierre-Jolys.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Shirley&rsquo;s mother, Eva, had the greatest influence on Shirley becoming the quiet, honest and faithful person that she was.&nbsp; Following in her mother&rsquo;s footsteps, Shirley also loved baking, gardening and craft work.&nbsp; Shirley also enjoyed music, photography and traveling on many different trips.&nbsp; Reading Science Fiction books was a favourite pastime as well as the many cats she had in her life.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Predeceased by her sister Barbara Joan Bandura, her father Murray and mother Eva,&nbsp;Shirley leaves to mourn her passing, brother Brian (Colleen) of Portage la Prairie, sister Kathy Alexander (Peder Andersen) of Inglis, nephews; David, Ryan and Michael, nieces Bryn and Tara.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Should friends so desire donations can be made to Diabetes Canada, 1 Wesley Avenue, Suite 207, Winnipeg, MB&nbsp;&nbsp; R3C 4C6.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></strong><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Shirley&rsquo;s family will celebrate her life privately.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Messages of condolences can be made online at www.omegafuneralhome.com</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Shirley Anne Barrett

       Shirley passed away at the St. Pierre-Jolys Hospital on July 26, 2022 at the age of 70 years.

     Shirley was born February 10th, 1952 to Earl Murray MacDonald and Eva Marie MacDonald (nee Ogrodnick).  She was born and raised in Portage la Prairie.  After high school she attended Yonda Business College then worked at the Portage Mutual after completing accounting courses.  Shirley then went on to work at the Justice Department in Portage la Prairie then transferred to Winnipeg until her retirement and final move to St. Pierre-Jolys. 

     Shirley’s mother, Eva, had the greatest influence on Shirley becoming the quiet, honest and faithful person that she was.  Following in her mother’s footsteps, Shirley also loved baking, gardening and craft work.  Shirley also enjoyed music, photography and traveling on many different trips.  Reading Science Fiction books was a favourite pastime as well as the many cats she had in her life. 

     Predeceased by her sister Barbara Joan Bandura, her father Murray and mother Eva, Shirley leaves to mourn her passing, brother Brian (Colleen) of Portage la Prairie, sister Kathy Alexander (Peder Andersen) of Inglis, nephews; David, Ryan and Michael, nieces Bryn and Tara.
