Martha Jane Johnston, age 84 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Wyndmoor of Marion.

Martha was born on November 30, 1937, to the late Joe and Wilma (Wright) Bumgarner in Marion, Ohio.

Martha was a manager for MotoMart in Galion, Ohio for 10 years.  In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing softball.  She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her son: Clarence Johnston and her sister: Betty Dutton.

Those who will cherish her memories include her children: John (Debra) Johnston of Marion, Ohio, Cathy (Gary) Thacker of Marion, Ohio and Alan (Juanita) Johnston of Marion, Ohio; her sisters: Mary Carpenter of Marion, Ohio and Ruth Doolittle of Marion, Ohio; her eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Wyndmoor of Marion staff for the care they gave towards Martha.  Also, the family would like to give a “BIG THANK YOU” to Kindred Hospice nurses for being so kind, considerate and caring while taking care of Martha.

Friends and family may come to honor Martha’s life at a graveside service on Saturday, August 13, 2022, starting at 12pm at the Green Camp Cemetery in Green Camp, Ohio with Pastor Josh Millington officiating.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Johnston family.
