Mr. Daniel S. Yarbrough, better known as “Steve and PawPaw”, 74, of Oneonta, AL., passed away on August 9, 2022. Preceding him in death were his son Keith “Bama” Yarbrough; In-laws James Doss and Betty Doss “Paw and Maw”; grandmother Era Yarbrough “Mama”; mother Nellie Jo Vardaman; and sister Carol Smith. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Sheila Yarbrough; granddaughters Ashlee Yarbrough, Shelby Rogers (Drew) and Olivia Yarbrough; great grandchildren Asher Brown, Boston Brown and Kinsley Holt; siblings Gayle Nell Knight, Bobby Jean Smith, Rusty Vardaman (Dannah); special cousin Gary Bice; a host of nieces and nephews; and his fishing partner and buddy Wiley Doss. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Lemley Funeral Home from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2 PM with Jeff Oates and Gregg Armstrong presiding. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, in the Dallas/Selfville Community. Lemley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
