Beverly Ann Beckman, 79, of New Castle, passed away the morning of August 10, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born April 8, 1943, in New Castle, she was the daughter of William G. and Mary (Magno) Rees. She was preceded in death on August 6, 1992, by her beloved husband of 31 years, Glenn Matthew Beckman, Sr., whom she married November 17, 1960. A graduate of New Castle High School, Beverly was employed with several businesses in the area including Dr. Carmen Cagno as a dental assistant; the Feed Mill in New Wilmington; and Medure’s Catering where she served at the Scottish Rite Cathedral until her retirement. Among her many interests, she enjoyed baking and cooking large meals for her family as well as others. In her spare time, she watched numerous baking shows on TV. Beverly will always be remembered as a giving and caring person, making her family her priority. She was a member of the New Castle cancer support group and New Castle Church of God. She is survived by her three sons, Glenn (Karla) Beckman, Jr. of Boardman, Ohio, Scott Beckman and Kevin (Vickie) Beckman all of New Castle; two brothers, William G. Rees of New Castle and James (Mary) Winfield of Ellwood City. Beverly lovingly opened her home in New Castle to her grandson, Aaron Beckman and wife Jenna, and was the proud grandmother, to all of her grandchildren, Haley Beckman of Pittsburgh, Tiffany (James) Andrews of Jamestown, PA, Kyle Owen of St. Mary’s, PA, Rees Beckman and Sydney Beckman both of Boardman, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Grace, Alexandria and Jayce. Surviving is also her caring and loving niece, Vicky Rees. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Harriet Rees. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 11:00-1:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 1:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Pete Squillo officiating. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
