Mrs. Margie Brown Dunn

<p>Mrs. Margie Brown Dunn, age 79 of Cocke County Tennessee, passed away on August 9, 2022, at 2:53 am, from complications due to Alzheimer&#39;s disease.</p> <p>Margie was born July 18, 1943, to Samuel and Grace Brown of Cosby, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brothers Orville Brown and Wilford Brown, and sisters Martha Brown and Nellie Brown, and her furbaby Miley.</p> <p>Margie loved taking care of her husband Robert Dunn and her children Cary Dunn and Nik Dunn. She also loved introducing her children to the great outdoors when they were young. She took both of her children camping by the time they were 8 weeks old.. She was there for almost every ceremony, band recital, and baseball game her children were in. She was also a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and rarely missed a televised game.&nbsp;</p> <p>Margie loved the Lord Jesus and one of her favorite verses was Philippians chapter 3 verses 13 and 14, &quot;Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.&quot; And today Margie won that prize, she has went home to live with the Lord Jesus Christ her Savior.</p> <p>Margie is survived by her husband of 60 years Robert Glenn Dunn; her daughter Cary Dunn; her son and daughter-in-law Robert Nikholas and Moriah Sheppard Dunn, and great-granddaughter Laelyn Rae Dunn. As well as her brother Jimmy Brown; her sisters Jeanette Singleton, Patricia Phillips, and Bobbie Jean Mullaney; and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>There will be a small private service held at her family&#39;s cemetery in Cocke County Tennessee. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association at <a href="http://alz.org/">alz.org</a> to help find a cure for this disease that claimed her life and the lives of her mother and brother.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Margie Dunn</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
