<p>Steven A. Nicholas, 69, passed away on August 8th, 2022 at St. Luke&rsquo;s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.</p> <p>Steven was born on December 12th, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ralph and Genevieve (Dunn) Nicholas.</p> <p>He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and worked in construction and the jewelry business as a gold smith and engraver. He was a graduate of the Shawnee Mission Northwest class of 1971. Steven was a longtime member of the Heart of America Aquarium Society, and enjoyed learning and educating members on the care and breeding of saltwater and freshwater fish.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his brothers Mark (Nonna) Nicholas of Tucson, Arizona and Jon Nicholas of Boulder, Colorado; niece Diana Nicholas and nephew Timur Beketov and countless friends who will miss him greatly.</p> <p>Steven will be cremated and laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer, Nebraska at a later date.</p> <p>In honor of Steven, donations may be made to the <a href="https://kcfishclub.org/community/index.php?home/">Heart of America Aquarium Society</a>.</p>

Steven A. Nicholas, 69, passed away on August 8th, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Steven was born on December 12th, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ralph and Genevieve (Dunn) Nicholas.

He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and worked in construction and the jewelry business as a gold smith and engraver. He was a graduate of the Shawnee Mission Northwest class of 1971. Steven was a longtime member of the Heart of America Aquarium Society, and enjoyed learning and educating members on the care and breeding of saltwater and freshwater fish.
