Steven Alexander Nicholas
<p>Steven A. Nicholas, 69, passed away on August 8th, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.</p> <p>Steven was born on December 12th, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ralph and Genevieve (Dunn) Nicholas.</p> <p>He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and worked in construction and the jewelry business as a gold smith and engraver. He was a graduate of the Shawnee Mission Northwest class of 1971. Steven was a longtime member of the Heart of America Aquarium Society, and enjoyed learning and educating members on the care and breeding of saltwater and freshwater fish.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his brothers Mark (Nonna) Nicholas of Tucson, Arizona and Jon Nicholas of Boulder, Colorado; niece Diana Nicholas and nephew Timur Beketov and countless friends who will miss him greatly.</p> <p>Steven will be cremated and laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer, Nebraska at a later date.</p> <p>In honor of Steven, donations may be made to the <a href="https://kcfishclub.org/community/index.php?home/">Heart of America Aquarium Society</a>.</p>Obituary
