<p style="text-align: center;">Ron Fox</p> <p><br /> &nbsp; Peacefully on&nbsp;Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, with family at his side&nbsp;Ron&nbsp;passed away at the age of 70.<br /> &nbsp; He is predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Margaret Fox, niece Stacey, sister-in-law Linda, brother-in-law Mark and trusty dog companions Charley and Simba. Left to mourn is&nbsp;his brother Harold (Pat);&nbsp;sisters, Lynne (Doug), Sandra (Gary) and Charlene;&nbsp;nephews Chris (Angela), Jay (Michelle), Scott (Kim); great-nieces Kayla and Meghan and great-nephew Jonas.<br /> After graduating high school Ron went to work at Abex Industries and worked there over 30 years until poor health forced him into retirement.<br /> &nbsp; Ron loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. In the winter he was often found on his ski-doo breaking trail or watching the snowmobile races. Ron seldom missed a Selkirk Steelers game and never missed a Jets or Bombers game on TV. One of his proudest moments was when he got to hold the Grey Cup when it toured the personal care home. Before his illness he was often seen at his favourite haunts being Tim&rsquo;s, A&amp;W, Barney&rsquo;s and The Boot.<br /> &nbsp; Special thanks to the wonderful home care staff who cared for Ron at home after his stroke (his fav Debbie). And to the nurses, health care aides, doctors and staff at Tudor Personal Care Home (Shorty, Susie, Chelsey, Tammy, and Misty to mention a few) where Ron received exceptional care and spent his last years. And lastly to the caring nurses, doctors and staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre.<br /> &nbsp; Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on&nbsp;Friday, August 12&nbsp;at 2:00 p.m. at the Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery, 6137 Highway 9A, Selkirk, Manitoba.<br /> &nbsp; In lieu of flowers the family would be grateful for donations in Ron&rsquo;s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Tudor Personal Care Home or a charity of your choice.<br /> <br /> &nbsp;</p>
