Thomas L. Warner

Thomas L. Warner, 77, of Dover, Ohio was called home to Jesus on August 9, 2022, following a brief illness. Born on October 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Carl Warner and Edna (Devore) Warner. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Warner, and his sisters; Sandra Kay and Debra. Tom was the sweetest, most gentle, and kindest man. He could do anything. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He was a man of few words but knew how to make you laugh. Everyone that knew Tom, loved Tom. Tom attended Mosaic Community Church in New Philadelphia. He loved God’s word and he loved the Lord. Tom was retired, an Airforce Veteran, and loved watching his grandkids. He is survived by the love of his life and princess, Janette Warner, whom he married on December 12, 1970; his four children, Scott (Selvije) Warner, Michelle Warner, James Warner, and Leslie Warner. He has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and adopted grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Along with his brothers, Jerry (Gloria) Warner of Dover, Gene (Sally) Warner of Atwood, Bobby (Carol) Warner of Dover and Marla Fait of Strasburg. In addition to his family and friends he will be missed by his cockatiels, Rudy and Sam, and his dogs; Milly, Max, and Abbey. Tom will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory of Dover. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover on August 28, 2022 from 2-5pm. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Community Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
