Janette A. "Jan" (Pierce) Bruner, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Linda E. White Hospice House. Jan was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 7, 1937 to the late Orville "Dale" and Floella (Watson) Pierce. She retired from GenCorp, Inc. after 20 years of service. Jan has been a faithful member of Concordia Lutheran Church since 2011. She loved working on genealogy, camping, fishing and was known as a real "fisher-woman". Jan was very artistic, was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family deeply and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as, "Mamaw". Jan is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, George Lee Bruner; daughters, Janella Powers (Percy "Glynn"), Teresa Brown (Jerry), Ronda Francis and LeAnna Schneider (John), all of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Joshua, Amber, Sara, Brittany, Kingston, Heather, Summer Ann and Megan; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jan was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, James Dale Pierce and Earl Wayne Pierce. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2451 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Wiist officiating.
