Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Giles McBride, 66, who passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.  Pastor Andrew Fridelle will officiate the ceremony.

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Giles is survived by one daughter Nikki Sonnier and her husband Mark of Youngsville;  his parents, Joyce and Joseph McBride;  one grandson, Justin Miller;  three brothers, Glen McBride and his wife Charlotte of Church Point,  Tim McBride and his wife Carolyn of Lafayette,  and Alan McBride and his wife Lynn of Spring, TX;  and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Giles recently retired after working for over forty years in the oil and gas industry.

He was a member of a local bike club, and made numerous trips all over the United States.  He was active in community service projects, and enjoyed helping others.
