Mrs. Gloria Frances Walker Boyd

Mrs. Gloria Frances Walker Boyd, 69, of Jackson, SC, beloved wife and best friend of Finley T. Boyd, Sr., for nearly fifty-four years, entered into rest suddenly on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. A lifelong area resident, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie Mae Goodwin Walker. She retired from Georgia Radiation Therapy and was currently a Caregiver with Remain at Home Workers Care. She was a dedicated member of Heights Church. Miss Gloria enjoyed fishing, hunting and shopping. More than anything however, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Gloria and Finley had a love for one another that most couples could only dream of. Where you see one, you always seen the other. When they were together, they were always hand and hand and with a smile. Finley loved “his girl” with all of his heart. She never wanted for anything. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Jason Ronell Boyd, Jackson, SC, Melissa Janeal Kallas and her husband Joe, Martinez, GA, Haskell James Boyd, Jackson, SC and the late Finley Terry “T” Boyd and his wife, the late Christie, siblings, Ruth Haynes and her husband the late Roger, Mesquite, TX, Faye Risinger and her husband, James, Gloverville, SC and Beverly Funk and her husband, the late Robert, Warrenville, SC; grandchildren, Skyler Ray, Jonathan Boyd, Mallary McKie and her husband, Dal, Aidon Kallas, Christopher Kallas, William Kallas, Brenden Boyd, Christina Boyd, Erin Boyd and the late Brianna O’nita Powell and her extended family who she loved dearly, Sonya Moody, Kendrick Moody and Khalia Moody. Friends will be greeted by the family on Friday, August 12, 2022, beginning at 11 o’clock at Heights Church, Clearwater, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon at the church. Dr. Mark Canipe will officiate. The family has requested that memorials be made to Heights Church, (www.heightschurchsc.com)
