Lawrence M. “Larry” Ordway, Sr., 79, of Plaistow, NH, died Monday morning, August 8, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill. He was born in Haverhill, December 23, 1942, son of the late Harry and Christine (Davis) Ordway. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Larry graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1960, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from Merrimack College. For over 15 years he was employed as an accountant/project manager for EMC. A longtime parishioner of Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford, Mr. Ordway was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5004 and the Haverhill Lodge of Elks, Lodge #165. His survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geraldine (Catalano) Ordway of Plaistow, NH, a son, Lawrence M. Ordway, Jr. and his wife Kristen of Baldwinsville, NY, a daughter, Jeri Field of Andover, three sisters, Cheryl Ordway of Haverhill, Susan Magee and her husband John of Haverhill, Janice Najuch of Kissimmee, FL, and four grandchildren, Laurel and her husband Steven, Sean, Grady and Ava. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 12, at 12:00 noon in Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford and Haverhill.
