RIDGELEY – Laverda G. Lowery, 84, of Ridgeley, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital. Born on March 13, 1938, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alverda (Thomas) Waltman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Lowery; daughter, Debra G. (Lowery) Shafferman; grandson, David W. Shafferman; four sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by three sons, Charles “Chuck” W. Lowery, Fort Ashby, Michael E. Lowery, Ridgeley, Jeffrey L. Lowery and wife, Tina, Hyndman, PA. She has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
