Raymond (R.J.) Sobask III of North Branford died on Saturday August 6, 2022. He was the precious son of Raymond and Cathy Wiehler Sobask. He was the cherished brother of Katie Sobask and Carl Jacobson, both of North Branford. He is also survived by his grandfather, Gordon Wiehler of North Haven, and his uncles, Gerald Sobask (Yvonne), Phillip Sobask (Glaucia), Gordon Mark Wiehler (Sheila Weaver), Kenneth Wiehler, and Brian Wiehler (Susan). He is also survived by his cousins, Matt, Kristy, and Max. R.J. was a 2019 graduate of North Branford High School where he was a four year football and lacrosse player. He was a welder and pipe fitter for Local 777, working for Mulvaney Mechanical. Friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Saturday from 2-5 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ray “RJ” Sobask’s honor may be made to the Closer to Free Fund, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
