Marilyn Jane Golsteyn-Anderson

Marilyn Golsteyn-Anderson October 13, 1928 - August 6, 2022 God welcomed home Marilyn on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the age of 93 years old. She is now reunited with her husband Charles Anderson and grandson Brett in heaven. Marilyn was born in New York on October 13, 1928, to Olive and Raymond Hagenbucker. She later moved to West Allis, WI where she started a family and raised her 6 boys. Marilyn is survived by her six sons, James (Patricia), Jerry (Nancy), Jeff, Jon, Joel (Judy) and Jay (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Jenna, Mathew, Ruth, Cayla, Brett, Rachel, Tyler and Jaydon. Great-grandmother of Jackson, Addalie, and Mason. She is further survived by numerous other friends and family members. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Charles Anderson, sister Jean Hubbs, brother-in-law Harold Hubbs and grandson Brett Golsteyn. She was a homemaker amongst so many other things, as she raised her six sons. She dedicated her life to the happiness and fulfillment of her children. It showed in everything she did for them. She was a teacher, a mentor, disciplinarian, provider, spiritual guide and so much more for the boys. The 84th street duplex was an activity center filled with sports scheduling and carpooling year-round. It lasted for decades as the boys made their way through high school and college athletics. Marilyn’s greatest asset though, was her character. She was Faith driven and putting others first was normal for her. She had a gift of being firm and loving at the same time. This applied to her sons and all of their children as well. They all loved her for that balance that she brought to the table. She will be forever missed for all the life lessons she taught her family and the living example that she was to all! A Celebration of Life will be held in Marilyn’s honor on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, located at 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the memory of Brett Golsteyn.
Church & Chapel Funeral Service Serving the Family
Milw. 262-827-0659 Wauk. 262-549-0659
Online Obit, Condolences, Directions
www.churchandchapel.com
