Marion M. Rice

<p>Newport, NH: Marion Lockhart Rice, born March 16, 1931 in Fall River, Massachusetts, daughter of Howard A. Lockhart and Elisabeth Dunham Lockhart.</p> <p>A graduate of Haverhill High and Addison Gilbert School of Nursing in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She is the widow of Ransom A. Rice.</p> <p>During her lifetime she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Newport Hospital Gift Shoppe, Brownie Leader and Den Mother.</p> <p>In church life she was a Deacon, on the Hospitality Committee and Parish Relations Committee. She also sang in the church choir for years, a member of the Evening Circle, and was involved with the Church Bazaar.</p> <p>She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Theodore Lockhart, and her sister Helen Lockhart. She is survived by children, Bruce Rice and his wife Linda; Lawrence Rice; Laurie Beebe and her husband Curtis; sister in law, Carolyn Lockhart; her five grandchildren: Mallori Parker, Molly Botenhagen, Lindsey Rice, Curtis Beebe and Arielle&nbsp;Beebe; her great grandchildren, Reagan and Carter Botenhagen; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at South Congregational Church in Newport.&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Upper Valley Humane Society, South Congregational Church, or Richards Library.</p>

Newport, NH: Marion Lockhart Rice, born March 16, 1931 in Fall River, Massachusetts, daughter of Howard A. Lockhart and Elisabeth Dunham Lockhart.
