Daniel J. Sullivan Jr, 73, passed away on Aug 7th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Springfield on Aug 19th, 1948 to the late Daniel J. and Rosamond (Shephard) Sullivan. Daniel was a graduate of Commerce High School and went on to receive an Associate’s degree from STCC. He worked for 38 years as a salesman for Shaw Industries. Daniel leaves his wife Cathy (Boisvert) Sullivan of Springfield; three sons, Daniel J. Sullivan III and his fiancé Yolanta Dronski of Granby, Matthew Sullivan and his wife Natalie of Littleton, MA and Brendan Sullivan and his wife Krystal of Naples, Italy; one brother, Jack Teehan and his wife Shirley of FL; two sisters, Rosamond Bellucci of Springfield and Ellen Mogavero and her husband Tom of West Springfield; two grandsons, Mack and Griffin Sullivan; his brother in law Dick Boisvert and wife Deb and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Bates. He was a lifelong Celtics, Sox, Bruins & Patriots fan and enjoyed watching, playing and coaching many different sports. Sul knew his way around the kitchen and loved nothing more than entertaining friends and family with dinners and of course a few drinks. Quick with a joke, he loved to make everyone laugh (even when the jokes weren’t that funny). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Aug 12, 2022 at 10 am at Sampson Chapel of the Acres 21 Tinkham Rd. Springfield with a funeral home prayer service to begin at 11 am. Burial will be private at a later date. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, Aug 11, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jimmy Fund.
