Charlotte Ann Smith Obituary

Funeral Service for Mrs. Charlotte Ann Smith, 70, of Oxford will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Bro. Tracy Shaddix officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith passed away at her home on Monday, August 8, 2022.


Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Leigh Turnbull (Brian) and Samantha Gilchrist (Chad); son, Jeremy Smith (Alycia); grandchildren, Bradyn Turnbull, Braxton Smith, Asher Turnbull, Hadley Gilchrist, Hollyn Gilchrist, and Harper Turnbull; brothers, Jerry Jackson (Pam) and Jeff Jackson (Suzi); nieces and nephews, Wesley Jackson, Shannon Smith, Ben Smith, Lyndsey Wright, Julie Jackson, and Jenna Jackson.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Wayne Smith; parents, Rudolph and Sarah Jackson; and in-laws, William and Betty Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Brian Turnbull, Chad Gilchrist, Bradyn Turnbull, Braxton Smith, and Asher Turnbull.
 

Mrs. Smith was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a volunteer for the RMC Chaplains Office. She retired as an educator after 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother, and “Gram.”


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Antioch Baptist Student Ministries or to Steel Magnolias, Inc., P.O. Box 2208, Anniston, AL 36202.
