1939 – 2022
Jeannie ‘Jean’ Rufiange (nee Fowlie) of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Jean was born in Barrhead, Alberta on December 6, 1939. She married Guy on November 18, 1958. Jean and Guy settled in Red Deer in 1963. Jean lived in the family home for fifty years. She downsized and moved to Innisfail for a short time before coming back to Red Deer in February of 2022. Jean is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sherry (Leo) of Coaldale, Liz (Andy) of Red Deer, Yvette (Ben) of Leduc, and Brenda of Coaldale, her fifteen grandchildren, her fourteen great grandchildren, and her sister, Tudy of Red Deer. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Ron and Edith, her brothers, Jim and Bud, her son, Jim, a daughter, Jeannie, a grandson, Jim, and a granddaughter, Meagan. A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jean’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association at www.cmha.ca.
