<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John Bonner, 70, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital.&nbsp; Born December 19, 1951, in Montreal, Canada, John is survived by his wife, Mrs. Megan Price-Bonner, his brother David (Janice) Bonner, nieces Andrea (Jordan) Bayles and Rachel (Mike) Doa, nephew James Swift, and several great nieces and nephews.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan Bonner, and his sister Joanne Swift.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John graduated from Honey Creek High School and Indiana State University and taught for more than 30 years with the Spencer-Owen Community School Corporation, helping to educate thousands of children over the years.&nbsp; John had a passion for reading, music, and discussing politics, and will be remembered for his sense of humor, the friendships he made, and the unquestionable love he had for Megan.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Drew Downs will officiate. In lieu of flowers, John&rsquo;s wife has requested memorial donations to the Owen County Education Fund, the EPIC Scholarship Fund through the Owen County Community Foundation (https://www.owencountycf.org/), or St. Stephens Episcopal Church.&nbsp; Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

          John Bonner, 70, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital.  Born December 19, 1951, in Montreal, Canada, John is survived by his wife, Mrs. Megan Price-Bonner, his brother David (Janice) Bonner, nieces Andrea (Jordan) Bayles and Rachel (Mike) Doa, nephew James Swift, and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan Bonner, and his sister Joanne Swift.
