Leah Yvonne Taylor Murfreesboro, Tennessee Obituary

Leah Yvonne Taylor

Leah Yvonne Taylor, 62, left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Leah was born in Nashville, TN on January 6, 1960. She graduated from McGavock High School in 1977 where she enjoyed being a halftime dancer. Leah was a very active mother to her two sons and Gigi to her grandkids. She enjoyed Oakland Raiders football, fishing, being on the lake, Harley Davidson, shopping and spoiling her kids and grandkids. She was queen of arts & crafts, making piñatas and loved Starbucks, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Whether she was cooking breakfast for one of them to pop in, attending one of her grandkids many sporting events, cooking a spread of dishes for a family gathering or discussing the next Jordans that were about to drop, Leah loved doing anything that involved her family. Leah is preceded in death by her father Thomas Heckert and survived by her mother, Emma Jean (Ken) Treftz; sons, Jason Melendez and Reza Mirghavami; daughter-in-laws Jennifer Melendez and Libby Mirghavami; grandchildren, Cadence, Riley, Callie, Anastasia and Arielle; siblings, Michael Flatt, Deborah (Adam) Sanford, Ramona Mangrum and CiGi (Gary) Horne. Please join us in celebrating her life, Saturday, August 13, 2022 11a-1p at the Church of God at Murfreesboro, 2011 St James Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37128. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Stroke Association in Leah's honor. https:// www.stroke.org/?
