LAPORTE-Crystal L. Miller, 41, passed away August 7, 2022, at the Center for Hospice Care Raclin House.  She was born June 27, 1981, in Michigan City, Indiana. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Miller.

  Surviving are 5 children, Mandy (Jose) Rivera, Nathan Alvarado, Tenna Wright, Isaiah Miller, Dave Lee Miller, her mother, Sandra (Francisco) Ceja, her father, Richard (Gail) Vaughn, and her stepfather, William (Elizabeth) Vaughn Jr.  Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Jaiden, Giovanni, 3 siblings, William “Bubba” (Rubie) Vaughn III, Jessica Woods, Nora Rodriguez, maternal grandmother, Mary Mitchell, and numerous other family members and friends. 

  Crystal enjoyed listening to music, doing colored drawings for her loved ones, playing cards, and always wanted to walk everywhere no matter how far her destination was.  She will be remembered as a friend to all, and her family will truly miss her. 

  Cremation will take place and services will be held at a later date.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
