<p>Karen Anne King<br /> April 16, 1945 - August 5, 2022<br /> Karen Anne King entered into rest on August 5, 2022 at the Mary Wade Home where she resided during the most difficult days of her courageous journey with cancer.<br /> Karen was born to John F. King and Gladys Strother King on April 16, 1947 and was a lifelong West Haven resident who cared for her parents until their deaths. She was predeceased by her brother John and is survived by his wife Helene and son John D.<br /> Karen radiated warmth, wit, creativity, and love.&nbsp; Earlier in her career as a designer her talents were evident in the fashionable boutiques in New Haven and more recently, her<br /> eye for decor brought many clients to Ferazzoli Imports in Middletown. Karen treasured her close circle of a family of friends but also the lovely relationships with all the amazing doctors, nurses and health care workers at Yale New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Hospital in Orange, and the Mary Wade Home in New Haven.<br /> With kindness, patience, gratitude, and a sense of humor, Karen touched many lives. To paraphrase her favorite Broadway song, because we knew Karen, we all have been<br /> changed &ldquo;For Good.&rdquo;<br /> Per Karen&rsquo;s wishes, there will be no services. She asked that donations in her memory be made to Dr. Johanna LaSalla, Smilow Cancer Center, 240 Indian River Road,<br /> Orange, CT 06477.</p>

Karen Anne King entered into rest on August 5, 2022 at the Mary Wade Home where she resided during the most difficult days of her courageous journey with cancer.
Karen was born to John F. King and Gladys Strother King on April 16, 1947 and was a lifelong West Haven resident who cared for her parents until their deaths. She was predeceased by her brother John and is survived by his wife Helene and son John D.
Karen radiated warmth, wit, creativity, and love.  Earlier in her career as a designer her talents were evident in the fashionable boutiques in New Haven and more recently, her

Per Karen’s wishes, there will be no services. She asked that donations in her memory be made to Dr. Johanna LaSalla, Smilow Cancer Center, 240 Indian River Road,
