Robert F. Taylor Obituary

Robert F Taylor of Rochester NH, passed away peacefully on 8/6/2022. Born February 13, 1930 in Everett MA, he is the son of Fielding and Agnes Taylor. As a young child, Bob moved with his parents and several brothers and sisters to their summer home in Barrington NH. Bob often spoke fondly of his first job at 14 years of age at Calef's Country Store. Later on, he began his career at Robbins Auto Parts of Dover and was quickly promoted to manage the then new Robbins store in Rochester, a position he held for several decades until his retirement in 1989. Bob was well known to many people in the greater Rochester area as someone who did business the old-fashioned way, putting his customers first and often helping people out of a bind.

Bob married Doris Stone of Rochester, NH and together they raised four children, Glenn R Taylor (deceased) Randy R Taylor (deceased) Donna Williams of West Berlin NJ and Cindy Bisson of Rochester NH. Upon his retirement, Bob and Doris moved to Florida where they enjoyed many years. Bob could build or fix anything, and as a child of the depression, he wasted nothing. He could quickly turn an old board pile and a hand full of nails into a needed set of shelves or stairs. Remarkably Bob hand built a house for each of his children. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and was a great storyteller. He shared many of his childhood memories to include fishing and swimming at Winkley Pond and riding his bike to Swain's pond where he and his friends would rent a boat for a nickel and camp on one of the islands.

Bob will be missed by his daughters Donna and Cindy, his grandchildren Timothy Hatfield of Barrington NH, Stephen Hatfield of Peabody MA, Eric Bisson of Dover NH, Tyler Bisson of Rochester NH and Glenn Adwin of Malvern PA. Also, his great grandchildren Hannah Hatfield, Chloe Hatfield, Ryan Hatfield, Thomas Hatfield, Jack Hatfield, Rosie Adwin, Donovan Adwin, James Adwin and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on August 17, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Rochester Cemetery, 17 Franklin St., Rochester NH 03867. Arrangements under the direction of the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, BERLIN NJ. To leave lasting condolences or photos, please use the links on this page.
