Gloria June “Go-Go” Patterson, age 74 years, passed away Saturday evening, August 6, 2022 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. She was born on June 23, 1948 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Lovell and Mathilda (Nutt) Rivet. On January 5, 1980 Gloria was united in marriage to Joseph Patterson and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2010 after 30 years together. She was a cashier for Tri-City Bakery for many years and a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Gloria was always on the move (Go-Go) and especially enjoyed going for rides on her bicycle. She loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed drawing, painting, coloring and crocheting. Surviving family include her sister, Elodia Butters; brother, Dennis (Ruby) Rivet; nieces and nephews, Lawrence (Elizabeth) Rivet, Lovell Terry Rivet, Verma (Scott) Lenarsic and DeJala (Jed aka “Tony”) Martin; as well as many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jaranie Meikle; nephews, William and David DeBoom; great-nephew, Austen Davis and brother-in-law, Donald Butters. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kevin Jones officiating with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
