<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Helen Mack, beloved wife of the late Victor Mack passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022 at Centennial Special Care Home in Langenburg, Sask.at the age of 94 years.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Helen was born in Springvalley SK on June 22, 1928 to Adam and Margaret Machmer. She was the youngest of 8 children, Katie,Charlotte, Louise, Peter, Jacob, Henry, and Isabelle. At 2 years of age, her mother died. She was placed in the care of Rev. Arthur Fuhr and his wife Anna.In 1932, Rev. Fuhr and his family answered a call to Hoffenthal Church near Langenburg, SK. taking&nbsp; Helen with them. Helen eventually moved back to Spring Valley to live with her family. Over the next few years she&nbsp; moved back and forth between both families. She married Victor on October 13, 1947. They settled on a farm near Langenburg and raised 4 children, Glen, Carolin, Charmaine, and Leslie. Their fifth child died shortly after birth.&nbsp; Their farm consisted&nbsp;of one section of land growing&nbsp; wheat ,oats and barley along with raising beef, pigs, and chickens. Mom always had a huge vegetable garden which provided the family and relatives with plenty of food for the winter months.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">They were very involved with the Hoffenthal and Landestreu Church where their children were baptized and confirmed. Helen loved to cook and spent many weekends visiting relatives and cooking with her sisters.&nbsp;Summer weekends consisted of visiting with relatives at local lakes and fishing at the river near Shellmouth,Man. In later years they went with relatives on a 2 week vacation to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Sadly Victor died in an accident in 1976. Mom continued to farm with her sons and eventually moved to Regina.&nbsp; She worked for several families, many of whom treated her like a member of the family. Those relationships became lifelong relationships. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church until she moved back to Langenburg 1 1/2 years ago.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Helen went on several holidays with her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Some of the places she visited were England, Jamaica, ST. Lucia, Antigua, Thailand, and China. When she retired, she spent time with her daughter and family in Arizona. Helen&#39;s life was her family. She was a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren and&nbsp;great grandmother to seven great grandchildren. She had a lasting influence on her children&#39;s friends as well as nieces and nephews who spent time on the farm during the summer holidays.&nbsp; She was also there to help with the harvesting long after she left the farm to live in Regina.&nbsp; &nbsp;Helen had serious health issues in the last ten years but what remained was her fierce and&nbsp; relentless determination to live an<br /> independent and full life.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Helen was predeceased by her husband Victor, her infant son, her parents Adam and Margaret&nbsp; Machmer, brothers Jacob, Peter, Henry, sisters Louise, Charlotte, Katie, Rev. Arthur Fuhr and wife Anna and their children Thelma, Walter, and Harold, father-in-law Fred, mother-in-law Emelia, sisters-in-law Diane, Remona,Renata, brothers-in-law Ervin, Howard, Walter, Leonard and Franklin.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Helen is survived by her children Glen (Robin), Carolin (Carman), Charmaine, and Leslie(Sylvia), Grandchildren Breck, David (Georgina), Dusty (Brent),Brandy, Andrew (Sandi),and Brooks (Lindsay). Great grandchildren Hayden, Blake, Riley, Benjamin,Cooper, Charlotte, and Lainey.&nbsp; She is also survived by her sister Isabelle, sisters-in-law Helen, Thelma, and Francis,brothers-in-law Frank and Mickey and many nieces and nephews.</span></span></p>
